Whack a Mole
As a primarily 2D motion designer, I've always been eager to challenge myself with more 3D work. I developed a concept that lets me blend both my 2D and 3D skills in a mixed-media style. Looking back, I may have packed too many assets into a single scene, leading to countless hours of work—but in the end, it was well worth it!
Behind the scenes
One of the biggest challenges was working with simulations. Getting the ticket scene just right took multiple attempts, as I had to keep iterating to achieve a visually appealing result without any clipping. In the end, I animated and cached different layers of tickets separately, focusing on what looked best in the scene. After all, what matters is what the camera sees—everything outside the frame doesn't need to be perfect! haha
